Treat Yourself

As parents we run at 100% all the time and sometimes forget that we need time to ourselves.  So here’s a short list of things you can do for yourself to nurture your own person.  😉

Nurture Yourself

  • Take a leisurely walk and take time to look at nature
  • Curl up with a pet for half an hour
  • Watch a favorite movie or documentary
  • Listen to a favorite CD
  • Take a hot bath with bath salts and soothing music
  • Meditate or do yoga
  • Pray
  • Invite a friend over for coffee or tea or milk and cookies (your “friend” can be one of your children or your spouse)
  • Bake
  • Work a long forgotten hobby
  • Rearrange the furniture in one room
  • Buy or sew new drapes or pillowcases
  • Wear an outfit to the mall you would never normally wear outside
  • Flirt with your spouse
  • Sing
  • Read your favorite novel or a new one
  • Daydream
  • Journal
